There is a lot of debate about whether or not you should include a photo of yourself on your LinkedIn profile. Most of us don't include one with resumes we send out, and recruiters scan through online profiles like they're browsing through resumes. If you do include a photo, you are allowing yourself the chance to be discriminated against, but if you don't include one, people may wonder why there's no photo since the majority of profiles have one. Miriam Salpeter at U.S. News & World Report says that not having a photo on your LinkedIn profile will make others assume that you're either "really ugly" or "don't know how to upload a picture."
